Welcome!

Mark Russell began his career in the 1970s as a full-time exhibiting glass artist.  After studying painting and glass at the University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University, Peabody, he built his first rudimentary glass studio in a pasture on his working farm.

Today, he has a state-of-the-art hot glass studio in a former municipal firehall building near the downtown historic district of Greeneville, Tennessee and hosts many public events, including demonstrations, visiting artists, and residencies.

Mark has taught and shared his knowledge of glass and art in numerous workshops, schools, colleges across America and abroad as well as in his personal studio.  Mark’s award-winning glass is included in major public, corporate, and private collections including Corning Museum of Glass, High Museum, Tennessee State Museum, Mint Museum, and the Disney Corporation.
